My Skincare Routine

Friday, October 17, 2014
Hello there, it's been almost two years now since I started caring about my skin, I used to be that girl who slept with makeup on and spent hours and hours under the sun without SPF on my face; my mom, she's always been that type of woman who own literally more than twenty different types of creams and lotions and I used to sit there watching her applied hundreds of stuff on her face and think -WHY?- haha Why someone would spend a good amount of money on just creams and lotions? Today I know the answer of those questions, it's pretty simple actually, we only have one skin for the rest of our life, and it's up to you whether you take good care of it or not.

My skincare consist on products that my mom recommended to me, and I'm really happy with it, I believe that it's not that complicated or too fancy, and I used what I think I need, so let's jump right into it.
In the morning before I applied my makeup on I'll wash my face with the Clinique Facial Soap, this works perfect with my skin, If you don't know, all of Clinique's products comes without any scent, and that's really awesome and good for your skin because you're applying less chemicals to your face.
After washing my face I'll go for the second step of the Three Steps of Clinique's facial care line, and that's the Clarifying Lotion, which helps to exfoliate the skin and prepare it so the moisturizer can do its best job. You can go to Clinique's website and take a skin test -just answering questions- and see what's your type of skin, mine is a combination of dry and oily skin, so I use the range with the number 2. Take the quiz>Clinique>Skin Diagnostic
As you may know, you need to moisturise your skin before applying your makeup, and right now I'm using a night time cream from Nivea because I ran out of my daytime cream but I mean it doesn't really matters, the important thing is that you moisturise your skin.
That's all before I applied my makeup and go out, but when I get home it's more than necessary that I remove my makeup with any type of cleanser, right now I'm using Clinique's Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser and this it's just AMAZING, with just a tiny bit you can remove everything and it leaves your skin soft, clean and fresh!
Although be really careful with your eyes and this product, it happened to me before, that I was taking my makeup off and, I opened my eyes just a tiny bit, just a tiny tiny bit! and for a moment I thought I was going to be blind haha, but I learned my lesson and now everytime I use this product, I don't open my eyes never ever again haha.

And that's it, after I cleanse my face, I repeat all the steps: wash my face with soap, use the clarifying lotion and moisturise, and I'm ready for bed, yayy!!

I hope you enjoy this post, tell me in the comments if you've any of the products that I used, and if you have any recommendations I'm up to try new products!

Love,

Beatriz
